Devonport Food and Wine Specials

Come stay for the Devonport Food and Wine Festival which is held on 18th and 19th of February.  The festival is situated directly opposite the Peace and Plenty Inn on the Windsor Reserve. The special is for any two consecutive nights (usually at $395 a night) between the 17th and the 20th.

Victorian Victorian Summer Break Specials

The Victoria Theatre was built in 1912 and is the earliest purpose-built cinema still in existence in the Southern Hemisphere.  The Victoria changed ownership several times during the 1990’s and into the new millennium and operated with various degrees of success. In 2001 it faced being turned into apartments and there were a number of attempts by local groups to retain the Vic as a theatrical and cinema space.  The Victoria Theatre is now open and operating as The Victoria Picture Palace and Theatre.  It is operating as a cinema with three cinema spaces and a performing arts venue. This Theatre is the oldest Art Deco Theatre in the southern hemisphere

Afternoon Tour and Victorian Tea - $69.00 nz
Combine the Devonport Explorer tour (with Devonport tours) and a Victorian Tea at the Peace and Plenty Inn.

You will be met at either Auckland or Devonport wharf by the Explorer coach to be shown the first half of the tour in and around Devonport.  You will visit North Head on the northern side of Devonport with it's panoramic uninterrupted views overlooking the gulf,  Rangitoto Island and beyond. As well as Mt Victoria, voted the best views over Auckland.  From here you will be met again by the Explorer Coach and continue the tour to finish back in the village and the Peace and Plenty Inn.

Here you will enjoy the luxury of a Victorian afternoon tea (see Victorian tea and Garden visit for details of menu).  Your options are then open to return to Auckland or browse the interesting shops of Devonport village at your leisure. A day you will remember for a very long time.
